Waterfall Hunter: Three Hidden Falls
Three of Bali's most photogenic waterfalls in a single day — Tibumana, Tukad Cepung, and Kanto Lampo.
The day
Bali's interior is stitched together by waterfalls, and three of the best ones sit close enough to visit in a single day. Tibumana is a postcard — a wide, curtain-style fall with a deep jade swimming pool. Tukad Cepung is the one you've seen on Instagram, where a shaft of sunlight breaks through the cave roof onto the water (best around 11:00am). Kanto Lampo is a stepped, terraced fall that's easy to climb onto for photos. Each one involves a short walk or scramble, and each one has its own swimming pool. Made times the day around the light — Tukad Cepung first, then the others — and brings a dry bag and spare towels. Wear swimwear under your clothes.
