The day
If you want Kintamani without the 2am alarm, this is the day. You'll drive up through the highlands, arrive at a ridge-top restaurant in Kintamani with a panoramic view of Mount Batur, its caldera, and the lake below. After a lazy buffet lunch you'll descend into the caldera itself for a two-hour soak at Toya Devasya hot springs — mineral-rich pools overlooking the lake. On the way home we stop at Penglipuran, one of Bali's most beautiful traditional villages — bamboo forests, perfectly aligned compound houses, and a quiet community that has kept its ancestral layout for centuries. Low-effort, high-reward. Great for anyone who wants the volcano photo without the hike.
